AP-AMG under the command of Capt. Abdullah Baig with co-pilot Capt. Taimur Baig taxiing at Karachi Airport on January 2, 1962, after completing delivery flight from Seattle via London. The brand new Boeing 720B completed flight from London to Karachi in record breaking time of 6 hours 43 minutes and 51 seconds

Capt. Abdullah Baig garlanded on aircraft stairs at Karachi Airport on January 2, 1962, after completing speed record breaking delivery flight of PIA's first Boeing 720-040B (AP-AMG). The brand new Boeing 720B under the command of Capt. Abdullah Baig with Capt. Taimur Baig as co-pilot completed delivery flight from London to Karachi in 6 hours 43 minutes and 51 seconds. A large crowd had gathered at Karachi Airport to welcome the new aircraft and its crew

Details of three speed records painted on AP-AMG fuselage. The Boeing 720B made these commercial air route records on its delivery flight from London to Karachi under the command of Capt. Abdullah Baig with co-pilot Capt. Taimur Baig on January 2, 1962. A representative of Royal Aero Club was present aboard the aircraft to observe record breaking flight.

The three point-to-point records observed by Royal Aero Club representative and later approved by Federation Aeronautique International (FAI) were:

London-Karachi (VOR) 6hrs 43min 51sec
London-Beirut (overhead) 3hrs 35mins 20.3sec
Beirut-Karachi (VOR) 3hrs 8min 27.6sec
