PIA celebrates special occasions by applying special markings on its aircraft

AP-BFW in this photo is displaying specially designed sticker to celebrate 50 years of the People's Republic of China and 35 years of PIA's non-stop service to China. The sticker reads: "Celebrating 50 years of the People's Republic of China with 35 years of non-stop service"

A logo specially designed to celebrate Pakistan's 50 years of independence in 1997 was also sported by all PIA aircraft. Each PIA aircraft was also given name of a Pakistani city or landmark and this name was painted below that logo. The aircraft name was painted in Urdu on starboard side and in English on port side of the aircraft. In this photo you can see the specially designed logo displayed below flight deck windows of AP-BBA. Below this logo in Urdu script is the name "City of Nawab Shah" given to AP-BBA
