Hong Kong
Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd. (HAECO) advertisement from 1977
showing a PIA McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30 at HAECO facility at
Hong Kong International Airport, Kai Tak, Hong Kong. The
advertisement reads:
"A first for HAECO. A first-class
job for PIA.
To comply with recently introduced
international safety requirements, all DC-10 operators some time
ago began to schedule their aircraft for incorporation of the
necessary cabin side wall venting modification SB-53-93
(revision 2). One of these operators, Pakistan International,
asked us to advise them of our capability, and to tender our
cost estimates.
We got the job. We took on the
modification, as well as 15 service bulletins and the complete
repainting of the aircraft. And we finished the work inside the
very tight contracted downtime, to PIA's total satisfaction.
In doing so, we proved yet
again what an increasing number of operators are finding out to
their advantage. Namely that we provide facilities and
capabilities that can be matched by very few companies in the
world - at competitive rates that can be matched by hardly any
company in the world.
If you're scheduling wide bodied
aircraft for incorporation of the venting modification, take a
leaf out of PIA's book. And get in touch with us first." |
