Rawalpindi Airport in 1960s. On December 12, 1971 AP-ALX crashed
near Pakistan's border with Iran. There were four crew members
aboard the aircraft and all of them died in this accident |

PIA's
ill-fated AP-BCP photographed by Umar Anis at
Lahore Airport on March 31, 1987. When Umar took this photo the
A300 was completing PIA flight PK-302 from Karachi to Lahore
under the command of Capt. Asad Ali. Five years later, on
September 28, 1992, AP-BCP crashed into a hill, in poor
visibility and misty weather conditions, minutes before landing
at Kathmandu valley's Tribhuvan International Airport, Nepal.
167 people died in this accident |

repair when its right main landing gear collapsed during landing
