First Officer Sadia
Aziz at the
controls of a PIA Fokker F27 on a flight to Chitral from
Peshawar. On January 25, 2006, Sadia was First Officer on PIA &
Pakistan's very first scheduled passenger flight operated by
all-women crew. The history making flight operated with Fokker
F27 (registration AP-BCZ) took off from Islamabad for Lahore as
flight PK-623. The aircraft flew under the command of Capt.
Ayesha Rabia, Pakistan's first woman to command an airliner,
with First Officer Sadia Aziz. The historic flight's cabin crew
were Air Hostess Shazia Kausar and Air Hostess Tauseef Ashraf.
With successful completion of this historic flight the names of
these four Pakistan women have found a permanent place in
Pakistan's civil aviation history |
