Capt. Fazaluddin Haqqi  (Aizaz Moin Collection)

Capt. Fazaluddin Haqqi is seen here as PIA Boeing 747 commander. Capt. Fazal joined PIA in 1964 and progressed steadily through the maze of different aircraft types as First Officer. In 1968 he took up the command of Fokker F27 Friendship and made further progress as Captain through all different aircraft types until his retirement as Captain of Boeing 747 "Jumbo" in 1996

First Officer Fazaluddin Haqqi retired as PIA Boeing 747 Captain in 1996. His eldest son Rehan Fazal, another PIA pilot, has already passed through three aircraft types thus setting a high standard of the Haqqi family legacy within PIA
