A group of children from Make A
Wish Foundation (MAWF), Pakistan, visited PIA Head Office in
Karachi, on December 13, 2011. Present on the occasion were
Managing Director PIA Capt. Nadeem Khan Yousufzai, Mrs. Zareen
Khan Yousafzai, President MAWF Ishtiaq Baig, Chief Pilot
Corporate Safety Capt. Adnan Malik and others.
In a ceremony jointly organized by MAWF and PIA, Capt. Nadeem
Khan Yousafzai gave free air tickets to four children including
Muhammad Dilshad, Sobia Siddiqui and Muhammad Hassan who showed
air travel as their biggest and unfulfilled dream. Two children
suffering from cancer - a girl named Ansa Sattar and a boy named
Muhammad Usama - desired to become pilot and their wish came
true when Capt. Yousufzai decorated them with PIA’s coveted
flying wings. They were also given tour of PIA Boeing 747 flight
simulator installed at PIA Training Centre (PTC) in Karachi
Few days later, Ansa Sattar,
Muhammad Usama, Muhammad Dilshad, Sobia Siddiqui and Muhammad
Hassan were flown on PIA flight
PK-302 from
Karachi to Lahore where they were taken on city tour by PIA
officials. The tour of Lahore included visit to Minar-e-Pakistan
and PIA Planetarium. The children also received goodies packs
from PIA Catering, Lahore. In the evening of same day, the children
returned to Karachi on PIA flight PK-305 from Lahore |
