PIA Managing Director Air Marshal Azim Daudpota talking to Air Hostess Iqbal Bano and Senior Purser Syed Nadeem Sultan who were members of cabin crew of PIA Airbus A300B4-203 flight PK-320 from Karachi to Quetta that was hijacked on March 12, 1988. Just before landing at Quetta Airport, a lone hijacker, traveling as First Class passenger, got up from his seat, with gun in his hand, and tried to enter cockpit. Luckily Air Hostess Iqbal Bano and Senior Purser Syed Nadeem Sultan saw him just in time and located the air-guard who was using the mid area restroom at that moment. The hijacker was eventually overpowered by cabin crew and air-guard, who attacked and pounded on hijacker from behind, while he was still halfway inside the cockpit, during aircraft's descent towards Quetta Airport. By the grace of God Almighty, this hijacking attempt was foiled due to timely action taken by alert Air Hostess and Senior Purser - their brave action saved innocent lives aboard the aircraft
