Early 1960s PIA advertisement. The advertisement reads: "In every PIA Boeing two-fully-rated captains. Most jet airlines today carry two pilots - a Captain and a First Officer. In every PIA Boeing 720B fan jet, not just the Captain, but both pilots are fully rated, senior men. Such emphasis on operational standards - high even in an industry of high standards - explains why last year this young and vigorous airline could successfully increase its scheduled departures to 77 a day; explains, too, why today PIA has established an enviable reputation for maintenance and punctuality, while travellers the world over say PIA are great people to fly with."
