History of PIA - Pakistan International Airlines

PIA Advertisement

PIA Advertisement  (Abbas Ali Collection)

Capt. Anwar Masood Khan in a classic PIA advertisement from 1962. The advertisement reads: "Why fly to London on a Pakistani plane? One reason: PIA pilots are talented. They're experienced, Pakistan and American licensed. They're good. So are our hostesses. They've been taught by their mothers (who were taught by theirs and so on) that serving guests beautifully is a pleasurable duty. Want something? Look up. Your hostess is at your elbow. Come join us. We fly Boeing 707 jet flights to London, Rome, Beirut, Teheran and Karachi. Have your travel agent book you aboard."
