PIA's very first aircraft AP-AFQ seen during her last days in this photo taken by Joop in early 1980s at Hotel Midway House which was located near Karachi Airport and jointly operated by PIA and Dutch airline KLM. AP-AFQ was delivered as brand new aircraft to PIA in February 1954 and faithfully served airline for ten years. It was withdrawn from active service in 1964 and partially broken up. The historic aircraft's surviving main fuselage was used for cabin crew training from 1960s to early 1980s by PIA Training Centre at Hotel Midway House. In this photo we also can see Hotel Midway House's new wing constructed around the aircraft
