PIA resumes B747 service for London - Photos by Muhammad Ali

Post by Abbas Ali »

Here are beautiful photos of PIA Boeing 747-367 (registration AP-BGG) taken by Muhammad Ali (forum member Aer Pakistan) at London-Heathrow Airport on November 22, 2006. The aircraft was operating Karachi-London-Karachi flight PK-787/788 and was flown by Capt. Haleem. It was PIA's first Boeing 747 service for London after a gap of some weeks. The airline had suspended 747 operations for UK due to restrictions imposed by EU aviation authority recently. Congrats to PIA on resumption of B747 service for UK. :)

Group photo taken aboard AP-BGG. Seen in this photo from left to right are: PIA Chief Line Maintenance Mr. Sarwar, PIA Boeing 747 commander and Senior Vice President Flight Safety & HSE Capt. Shahnawaz Dara, Engineer Shahid Masood, Engineer Wajid Sajid and PIA's London base engineers. This team had long meeting with EU aviation authority and finally got approvel to fly back the 747-300.

The aircraft’s tail is sporting Frontier motif and is named ‘Kaghan – Mountain Paradise’.

I think as pakistan is introducing tourism to their country AP-BGG is perfect.

I love the caption

Kaghan - Mountain Paradise

people in Europe love Mountain scenery, I would of prefered a picture on the tail simbolising the mountains.

Good to see PIA 743s back in service from the routes it was debarred. The newly refurbished BGG looks really fine with the new tail design that makes it even look more prominent and attractive.

And picture above are remarkably beautiful, I was expecting some cabin shots as well because there was news in that the entire cabin is also refurbished.

M. Ali could you please manage some newly refurbished cabin shots for us?

Thanks for the pictures anyway.
