Same here, cant believe Dragon Wings have done a PIA. Now we need loads more i.e. the flag 2004 livery, the 1990s and some 80s.

I hope we see another B777 (AP-BGK), B747 (AP-BAT) and some A310s!

Just have to wait and see. I hope they get the right colour off white on the rear fuselage to match my GJ B772ER and PX B742 (arrived on Saturday).

Mine actually looks pretty good! The colors and textures look brilliant (no smuges or missing detail) and the engines are not as bad as some people made them out to be. The white stripe on the tail is missing  but I can live with that. The wing probes are missing which should be present on this new release.

How about you samee, are you getting this new one? Or will you just keep the one you have?

Finally! I can get a PIA model in the new colors. I hate the PX version.

DW does take their time in releasing new releases, so it might be a wait. They announced but still haven't released the Aero Mexico 777, AI 787, RJ 747 & A342.

And I might be bankrupt by the end of the year what with all these new releases coming out. I already have this DW PIA, followed by their AI 744, GF 763 and TAAG 743 lined up.

Abbas, if you want BAK in this livery DON"T buy the PX version! Wait for this, it will be worth it. DW has the best mould after AC/B.Bird.

Samee yes the engines are the correct GE's. I have the DW Alitalia Baci 742 and Orient Thai 743 also with GE engines and they are perfectly correct. You will not be dissapointed.

just buy the both PX AND DW PIA. i will be buying one of these. PK777 thats good to see someone has a nice PX PIA. i had to go through lengths of trouble to get the best one for me. it is looking nice now on my shelf. got it from airline replicas zareh got the best one for me thanks zareh!!! :D

does anybody think that DW will do more PIA releases i.e. another 777, 747 flag livery, and other provinces tails? i would love to see some. whch moulds do DW use?

i recieved the emirates 777-300 DW today wasnt happy with the wings as plastic they are prone to breakage if the model falls.

what do people think about the plastic wings and engines. also i dont like DW landing gears

what do you think?

As far as DW doing more PIA, I won't be the least surprised if they do the 777-200LR as they only did it in the Boeing house colors and PIA is the launch customer and only airline operating it and seeing that they've finally taken notice of PIA, you never know. I'm sure they're aware of what a/c PIA has in their fleet and the 777LR shouldn't go unnoticed. They might wait till the LR tails are painted in the new themes before releasing one though.

DW have their own moulds and occasionally make models for Jet-X such as the new Egypt Air A300's, EVA Air 747's, Saudi Arabian 777, MD-11's etc.

In a way I prefer the plastic wings as you get can alot more detail into plastic than you can into metal. If you have a GJ 777, examine the wings and engines of that with your DW EK777 and you'll see what I mean. The correct thickness of the wings is also achieved in plastic and a bit difficult in metal. The wings as flexible, within limits, and won't break that easily. I prefer DW 777's over the GJ's any time. I only have 3 GJ 777's in PIA, Vietnam Air and El Al, the rest are all DW and Herpa.

The DW 747 landing gears are nice and like I said, you won't be dissapointed. In 1/400 747's though, for me AC/B.Bird are tops, followed by DW, Herpa and then GJ. I don't even bother with the rest.

As far as getting a loan, I cannot see myself sitting there and telling the loan officer what I need it for. I'd die of embarassment

Yes, if you go to the 400SH site and click on 'Picture Database' a drop down list will appear. Click on DW and their entire inventory of whatever they have released will download.

Look for the following 742's:

Alitalia (Bulgari and Baci both of which have GE's)

The following below are all PW engines:

Aerolineas Argentinas
SIA
AA
Pan Am
AC
People Xpress
United
Air China.
