PIA is considering buying six Boeing 777-200LRs!

no one is doubting the chairman's business concepts...everyone is just mind boggled as to why he is spending RS 5.6 million on a carpet leading to his room + a special elevator + this special permission nonsense of seeing him even if its a Senior PIA employee or a Board Member. Such lavish expenditure is not needed.

Sorry to say so but most of the travel and airline industry in Pakistan is now composed of "Phatechars" obviously there is a clash of mindsets and probably even class, Kirmani comes from a certain background and thinking style that probably most PIA employees cannot relate to.

PIA does need a flight to SYD and cannot just sit there not do anything about it. Offcourse PIA does not need a 777's for this route presently

PIA are probably considering sending a 777LR to Sydney in the future - hence the order

PIA should start sending its A310 via HKG, PVG or SIN first. See how much traffic is there in like a year and then start the B777LR directs
