America had gone ahead to pressurize Pakistan by requiring them to not to use F-16 for any "Aggression". And i can assume that America definitely have **hidden** way to track flights of F-16.Tuti Fruiti wrote: Thu Feb 28, 2019 7:53 pm First, regarding which jets were used to shot down IAF plane, its not clear whether it was Mirage, F6 or F16 etc. There are theories, but no one knows as of now.
As far AMRAAM goes, it might have more political implications to pressure Pak that it used F-16 against India which is in 'violation' of use of F-16 as per USA-Pak agreement.
The answer to question being put, a expert military aviation can answer as AMRAAM is brand name of US made missile and its used also as a generic name for 'Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile', whether JF17 uses AMRAAMs of USA or China or if it uses at all...its anybodys guess.
No doubt about this..ammad wrote: Thu Feb 28, 2019 8:16 pmAmerica had gone ahead to pressurize Pakistan by requiring them to not to use F-16 for any "Aggression". Nice Idea Abbas. Indeed it will be great to bring nose section after cutting and with some fixes in Kamra and putting it proudly as an ICON in PAF Museum to inspire many young Pilots willing to join PAF.Abbas Ali wrote: Thu Feb 28, 2019 9:26 am Newspaper photo of IAF MiG-21 (CU2328) shot down by PAF JF-17 Thunder.
Maybe this nose section of MiG-21 can be preserved at PAF Museum in Karachi which is also home city of JF-17 pilot Squadron Leader Hasan Siddiqi credited with IAF MiG-21 kill.

The US ""sold"" and gave a bunch of F-16s and related Tech on the condition that it will be used for anti terror ops etc and not for other purpose like against neighbours .haroon_ek wrote: Thu Feb 28, 2019 9:50 pm Regarding AMRAAM, for what purpose then F16 can be used then? Aren’t they then for defending the territory if not for an aggression purpose they are?
