And this is where the discrepancy lies. On the 777s, the Urdu PIA is not the plump version above, but the skinny version below:

I completely understand those who will elect to say "chalta hai"...

As of today I'm not sure if this model will be commissioned now as the chances of a livery change in PIA are getting stronger and stronger and the green tail will be coming back alongwith some changes in the fuselage design as well.

^ Alhamdolillah and Jazkallah to that Moin.
Shame on PIA chairman, managing director, board of directors, staff, designers and all others related to the new livery, who have contributed to further ruination of this once prestigious airlines image.

Well I'm a little irritated and confused as PIA takes decades to make any decision and I don't want Hogan to end up releasing this model only to discover PIA changing their whole corporate image a month later. I'm at a loss whether I should give Hogan the go ahead with this model or not. I may tell them to put this on hold and start off with the 747-200 and/or A300 in the 80's green/gold livery first. They have a 'Vintage Livery' series and the green/gold livery models will be good sellers.

Well Moin, the thing is this version has been loosely released before (given the errors!) by Skymarks. They did both the flag livery as well as a two tail (Sindh/Punjab) livery already as you know. I think if your going to comission this release it may not sell that well given that the market is already saturated with the Skymarks.

This version (you guys are planning to release) is ofcourse superior to the ones by Skymarks, the fact of the matter is I probably would put this livery on hold until the new livery is launched - now when that happens is anyone's guess. However, pausing could cause problems in the futrther to get the model eventually comissioned.

Past liveries such as the 1980s and 1990s would be an obvious go-ahead as there isnt much out there for general collectors.

I would love to see PIA gold green A300s and B747s while an A310-300 in 1990s green sports livery would look marvellous !

Unfortunately Hogan doesn't have an A310 mold, yet.

My thoughts exactly. PIA won't even care about the release and existence of those models. Our psyche only goes as far as 'naya model' not 'purana model'.

Update: PIA has approved the license and production of these models by Hogan. The classic PIA livery models require no license as they have no objection to any models in the old liveries of PIA being produced and sold worldwide.

Is this the new livery or the old flag livery?
