Status of SwissPort International ??
What has been the outcome of PIA's letter of displeasure issued to Swissport regarding their below average performance in the light of recent incidents involving PIA and foreign aircraft ??

There is a differnce between what happens on HOP and what you want us to do.Shall we ask Abbas to place the contract on the forum ? It is not guess work.
Most of the members are amatures with not much information about PIA, so they give their opinions.
PIA should have bought the A340 instead of the 777.
PIA ethinic liveries are good, no they are bad.
PIA service sucks, no its good.
PIA should serve alcohol, no it should not.
All these are opinions, basically what most members do on a daily basis.
Then there are a handfull of PIA employees (or ex-employees), who sometimes provide us with some inside info, which everyone else learns from and tries to participate, until the technical lingo starts at which point most others back off.
What you want us to do is to assess the work of a company, Swissport, and frankly 99% of forum members have no idea what the deal is, what their duties are, and how they are performing.
So is it valid to judge the work of Swissport, when we have no idea what they are doing??????????
This poll cannot be based on opinion, like the alcohol one was, it should be based on facts and figures, which you did not provide.

In a nutshell it goes like this.
-The GSE belongs to PIA .
-The technical staff remains on PIA payroll.
-PIA still handles 12 airports whereas Swissport is awarded the contract for the major 8 airports.
-No penalty clause in case of damage to the GSE or the aircraft.
With no investment in the last 7 months the Swissport has been paid a management fee of US $ 60 per turn around.
