The following occurence demonstrates the arrogance, indifference of PIA management regarding EU directives.
Last week a B74M aircraft was released for flight to UK with reserve fuel tank no.1 transfer valve inoperative. The maintenance procedure requires the valve to be wire locked in the CLOSED position and the fuel put into the center tank as payload.
During flight when fuel was consumed from tank no.1, the reserve tank no.1 fuel started flowing into main tank no.1.
The B74M was not released for flight ex-UK pending investigation as to why the reserve tank no.1 fuel transfer valve was wire locked in OPEN position.
Subsequently, pax were transferred to another flight and the B74M held back in UK.
It is now very much clear that PIA engineering is sabotaging the PIA schedules and the AVM and his air commodores are upto some mischief. The forum should now concentrate on analysing the nefarious designs of PIA decision(80% wrong) makers.
