CAA approves various Pakistani airports development projects

ISLAMABAD: CAA has approved/endorsed various other development projects worth Rs 1174.87 million to upgrade certain airports of the country. These seven developed projects include the reconstruction of Echo Taxiway and other pavements including allied works at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi amounting to Rs 610, 605 million; installation of AFL System, Simple Approach including allied works at Sukkur Airport amounting to Rs 92 million; provision/installation of AFL (CAT-I) including allied works at Peshawar Airport amounting to Rs 115.18 million; construction of Customs Block in Cargo Area at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore amounting to Rs 46.350; re-carpeting of Runway including leveling/dressing of Fair Weather Strips and reconstruction of Bravo Taxiway at Islamabad Airport amounting to Rs 207.76 million; construction of additional international Hajj lounge, CIP lounge and expansion of domestic departure lounge at Quetta International Airport amounting to Rs 64.10 million; provision of VIP lounge (international) and state lounge at level-2 Karachi Airport amounting to Rs 38.881 million.
