Shaheen Air - Luton-Lahore-Islamabad

Post by panpan »

My regards and best wishes to all.

Rumour has it that Shaheen air is launching its operation connecting Lahore and Islamabad with London-Luton as of 23rd March. I had the contact details of an agent who was selling the tickets. I do not have his details handy but will post them later. Can some one please confirm this new operation as i had my doubts about it. Knowing the end of SWE i never thought any one would touch Luton as a destination, although it could prove to be a winner.

Take care all. Stay well and happy:)

Yes its true, Shaheen Air will start its service from end of march from Luton to Islamabad first and then to Lahore.

This was stated in a e-mail from Ababeel travels, who are the ticket agents for Shaheen Air here in UK.

That A310 in the hangar at KHI just might be for Shaheen, a post at pakistaniaviation.com even highlights the fact that they may be getting this aircraft type.

I guess that A310 belongs to Saga Airlines.

See topic: PIA Engineering doing TLOD modification on Saga Airline A310

Plus, as far as I know, leased aircraft of private Pakistani airlines don't undergo maintenance checks at PIA facilities.

How come nothing on Shaheen Website if they are flying from 23rd March to UK. No mention a 767 aircraft in their fleet on their website?

i see something fishy going on. There is no formal marketing. the only marketing they have done is through the corner shops or cash and carries in Luton :) What an initiation when the innaugration date is only a few days away!!!

the planning and progress by these smaller airlines seems so poor

I know PIA has its only problems,
but LONG LIVE PIA!

Neither Aero Aisa and Shaheen know how to run airlines - they are very lucky to be flying... I sure it political related why they still flying..

Arent the 737-200's already banned from operating in UK airspace?? And with all these bans effecting PIA how is Shahhen planning on starting service with 732 and A310's? Not sure about the 767 though.
