

KARACHI, Dec 1 (APP)- Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and American Express Global Network Services Friday signed a partnership agreement to develop a series of airline co-branded card products for their customers in Pakistan.
These cards, targeted at, and customized for different market segments, will offer customers access to PIA's Awards Plus loyalty program, allowing card members to earn PIA Awards Plus miles on every purchase.
In addition, card members will enjoy a range of travel-related benefits, including access to PIA business class lounges, excess baggage allowance and other special promotions developed exclusively for card members.
"This alliance with American Express is a very significant step in taking PIA's Frequent Flyer Program to the next level, and the first of many initiatives that will be seen in the near future," said PIA Chairman Tariq Kirmani adding that PIA's Frequent Flyers are most valuable customers, and PIA team has been engaged in developing a set of unique, innovative and exciting offerings that will exponentially increase the value of the program for them.
He hoped that PIA's corporate alliance with American Express shall go a long way in fostering long-lasting business ties between two entities and benefit valued customers of both.
Internationally, American Express has introduced many highly acclaimed co-brand partnerships with leading airlines around the world, including Delta Airlines, Air Canada, British Airways, KLM, Air France, Alitalia, Virgin Atlantic, South African Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Indian Airlines, Thai Airways and Qantas.
