There are so many Australians and NZ people in London esp younger generation. They are always looking to travel, thats why they come here, i work with a few of them and they would love to go different and exotic places. Thats why many of them fly with Singapore Airlines, Malaysia, Garuda Indonesia Airlines etc.

I'm sure many of these adventure type people would love to go to Pak. Lahore would be a fab city to stop off for a couple of days, as there is so much history and culture to see and experience there.

Could PIA not start a service from Pakistan to Sydney and market it to this market here in the UK and Australia. It would help tourism a lot and bring in much needed cash to Pakistan. As well as help with the image problem. When Pakistan (or its safer parts) become a 'cool' place to go to, more and more people will go and it will also help us.

When there is interest in a place then other foreign companies like Virgin BA etc will also think about flying there. I personally feel PIA has to do a lot more and branch out more to keep itself going and successfull. Pakistan is its product, and very exotic one at that, they have to be more creative and imaginative in how they bring people to Pakistan and how to expand. They cannot solely rely on Overseas Pakistanis.

In London when you are on the underground system you see posters for emerging countries like Hungary etc. but never any pictures or posters of Pakistan. There is no promotion for Pakistan or decent marketing for it, and what is astounding is the fact that Pakistan is called the secret jewel of Asia. It has amazing beauty that can be put on posters etc used for Marketing and advertising, all you need to do is take a look at this website http://beautifulpakistan.com/Default.aspx and we can see how amazing our country is.

All the image consultants or image gurus in the world can't do for your country what word of mouth and experiences of another person can do, in ensuring a good image and repeat business.

Pakistan and PIA have so much potential its a shame its being wasted!

TRUE MATE i totally agree with u. man on saturday u know its diwali and i went to wembly and trust me there were lots of ppl there and there was some travel agent there as well promoting tourism of india and providing lots of info and holidays packages for next year diwali as well....something like this can be done as there is eid on monday so some arrangements can be made here and the tourism can be promoted regarding pakistan and pia can promote some good holidays packages and resonable fares. travelling from lhr to isb or lhe is pretty expensive whereas traveling from lhr to anywhere in india is little bit cheap as there are plenty to airlines flying to india and offering some great prices.

I feel everyone has to do a little bit more to improve the image of Pakistan.
