AA codeshares on a lot of BA routes to / from Middle East/Asia including DXB,BAH,AUH etc I love it because when you book on the AA flight # you get 100% Frequent flyer miles, but when booking on a BA flight # on a cheap ticket you only get 25% miles

Iqbal Asked:

I believe it is when airlines don't fly their Mattel but buy seats of other airlines to certain destinations or their chosen destinations (please correct me if I am wrong) :)
The orbital speed of the Earth around the Sun averages about 30 km/s or 18 mps (108,000 km/h or 67000 mph).
Which means we're travelling 97 times the speed of sound. And yet we can't feel the motion,

Yes that's correct. It is usually present within airline alliances but can also be present between non partner airlines. An example:

Emirates does the DXB-KIX-DXB route. However, JL codeshares on that route. This means that the DXB-KIX-DXB flights will carry both an EK and JL code. Both airlines can sell seats on the flight. In exchange EK codeshares on JL's flights to Japan from Osaka (eg KIX-NRT-KIX.)

The AA codeshare for Heathrow Islamabad can only be flown as an AA codeshare when connecting from another flight. (You can't just buy a London - Islamabad - London ticket with an AA flight #.) However you could buy a JFK-LHR-ISB ticket all with AA flight numbers.

And I think Kuwait Airlines codeshares with Air Canada for London - Toronto flight? My cousin recently travelled on that route and he was given seat on AC from LHR - YYZ while he booked himself on Kuwait Airlines.

A friend of mine also bought a Kuwait Airways ticket but the LHR-YYZ had an AC flight # not a Kuwait Airways one :?

Maybe KU codesharing on AC flights is something new? I know that RJ and SQ codeshare on the AC flights
