KHI-ISB-KHI on ED

Post by Moin »

Made another one of those day trips to ISB and took the 7am flight. As I had no baggage, check in was no problem. Staff courteous and helpful. PK300 to ISB was BFX and we pushed back on time. The a/c was an A321 (BJB) which looked like it certainly needed new carpeting as it was pretty worn out in the aisle. Other than that it was clean and tidy. Flight wa smooth and a nice hot breakfast was served. Managed to occupy the emergency exit seat as that row was empty. Upon descending into ISB there was a slight hair raising moment when the a/c suddenly increased power and made a sharp right turn and gained altitude but we were down within a few minutes. There was an abundance of creaks and groans from the fuselage when reverse thrust was applied, but thankfully it didn't fall apart  At ISB was PK300 which landed before us, 2 737's and a brown and white Gulfstream. At the far end where the C-130's are parked was a 737-700 with blended winglets. Upon disembarking an F-16 took off in front of us which was an amazing sight!

The return flight was again an A321 (BJA). At ISB was an EY 763 departing to AUH and an SV 777. Our a/c landed from KHI on time and we boarded at 6pm. We pushed back at 6.25pm (departure time was 6.30pm) and pretty soon we were airborne. PK308 from KHI was a 777 (BJK). This A321 was in much better condition than BJB. A hot meal was served which was very good and the crew were efficient and helpful. It seems ED has a trend of hiring tall girls as on every flight I've so far taken, there are always a couple of girls who are close to 6 feet tall. On this flight one of them was a spitting image of Audrey Hepburn, very pretty. Could even go into modelling if she wanted to. On both flights the crew distributed jigsaw puzzles to the kids which featured a pic of their A320 taken by Saad. That was a nice touch I thought. In all another good trip by ED.

Saad I don't know. I just saw them handing them out and from that distance it wasn't quite possible to mentally calculate the exact size of them.

That sounds nice, we need photos from you  ...PIA should give Gemini Jets more licences to do 1/400 scale models...it a great way to promote something e.g. the Provincial schemes etc...

Saad....you lucky guy, do share you photos when you get it. Also, try to get Airblue to give licences to Gemini Jets or Dragon Wings to do A320/A330 aircraft. Now Gemini Jets is producing lower number of units of the airlines that are not popular enough to have 2000 units. They have a new range in 500 units called "Gemini Select". They can easly sell these inflight as well as general retail. Im sure 500 units can be sold... 8)
