Strobe Lights of PIA 747-300
Today a plane arriving from Lahore had its Strobe lights on untill it was fully parked at Heathrow's T-3 (Stand 26 i think). how come they dont realize that the lights are on. Ant this is not the 1st time. weird
The orbital speed of the Earth around the Sun averages about 30 km/s or 18 mps (108,000 km/h or 67000 mph).
Which means we're travelling 97 times the speed of sound. And yet we can't feel the motion, SubhanAllah

I have noted that the PIAs 737-300 do not have strobe light, although I have seen strobes on Qantas and Air NZ 737-300 and even on saudias 737-200, but never ever have seen them while flying on PK 737. I dont know if the PIAs 7th 737-300 have got strobes light on them, which was supposed to be used for PM initially.

The strobe lights are activated as the a/c turns onto the runway for takeoff and turned off as the a/c exits the runway after landing. At least thats the normal procedure. Speaking of strobe lights, I have yet to see more amazing ones than on the 777, including the one at the rear of the fuselage.

B777 has one white flashing light at the end of the fuselage, just at the tip where aircraft's body ends. Moin is referring to that light as Strobe and that is as those lights flashes with the wing lights (white) all together.PK77W wrote:I thought that the Strobe light is the one which flashes at the wing, and the red lights on the fuselage are the beacon lights.....
