Hi All,
This is my first posting on this forum. I have been reading the forum and find it an excellent place to share information about PIA. I have a long history of association with PIA, as my father and quite a few cousins were/are pilots and FE's. Anyway, it seems that PIA really lacks good connections for passengers flying out of Washington D.C. It happened to me and also a friend of mine. Both of us wanted to use PIA out of JFK, but we were not able to find a good suitable connection both inbound and outbound. The only option was to drive to JFK, and we opted out. We ended up flying United and Emirates while going to Karachi. D.C. has a large population of expats. Pakistanis, and most of them are flying Emirates (via Europe).
Secondly, both me and my friends wanted to fly PIA, but the PIA travel agents were not responsive at all, and wanted us to fly via Emirates. In the end we ended up flying Emriates (as stated above).
I think besides buying new airplanes and improving overall service, it is also important for PIA to focus on connecting flights via partner airlines (codeshare) and also to make sure that the travel agents themselves are promoting the airline.
Atif...

10 years back PIA use to fly to Washington D.C. and Chicago. They dropped both Chicago and Washington not long after starting. But they have resumed Chicago services, maybe they have plans to re-start operations to IAD as well?
"Now we're going round in circles, tell me will this deja vu never end?"
