Hi this is my first post here but have been comming on here for a few years.
A while ago there was rumours that GLA will be getting 777s in and that flights will operate 5x weekly. Does anyone know if this is going to happen or of any other news regarding PK @ GLA?
p.s how have loads been on Glasgow-Pakistan?

Welcome.
For March the LHE-GLA route was doing very well. Load factor was around 75%-80% estimate as one of the flights is routed ISB-LHE-GLA.
I doubt GLA will get B772 5 weekly. PK first at least needs to have more non-stop flights. The rumours may be PK increasing frequency to 5 weekly.
3 weekly LHE and 2 weekly ISB sounds good.
PK also needs to increase frequency on the OSL, CPH, FRA, CDG, AMS routes aswell.
There were also rumours that BHX may do daily but...

PIA should follow the example of their success in Birmingham. It started of seeing the 747 as an extension to the Copenhagen flight. At one point there was an argument that BHX was overlapping the catchment area of MAN and should be withdrawn. Now it is served with 5 direct flights. Kudos to the UK marketing team.
