PIA seminar on safety concludes

KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Flight Safety and Health, Safety and Environment Department organized a four-day seminar on Safety Management and Quality system which ended here on Thursday. The seminar was conducted by Capt. Peter Weiss, an expert on Flight Operations and Safety from ASD International, which is also working on EU Civil Aviation Project.

The seminar was attended by senior regulatory personnel from Civil Aviation Authority Pakistan, pilots, engineers, cabin crew and PIA management personnel. Chairman and CEO PIA, Tariq Kirmani, who has vast knowledge and experience in Health, Safety and Environment was the chief guest at the concluding session. Addressing the participants he emphasised upon bringing about changes for implementation of world class Safety Management System in PIA. On the occasion he also distributed certificates among the participants.
