60% of PIAs KHI-DEL and KHI-BOM flights are filled with 6th freedom pax of Indian origin / pspt holders flying on to Gulf countries as PIA is one of the cheapest airlines for them to fly in J and Y class INDIA-GULF-INDIA via KHI.

yes 100%...its on their flight schedules website http://www.piac.com.pk/flight_schedule.asp

B777240ER, this 5 weekly flight is via KHI. It's really stupid this PK787 on fridays. I mean who is going to go from ISB to LHR via a 2 hour stop over in KHI? When there are 4 direct services a week?
What they should do is send the PK787 ISB-KHI sector as a domestic flight, as the current ISB-KHI sector on 787 has no traffic rights.

However, London-Islamabad flights remain 4 flights a week.

4 weekly ISB-LHR is NONSTOP B 743

1 weekly is ISB-KHI-LHR on a B 743 flight # PK 787

return though is only 4 weekly LHR-ISB nonstop on a B 743 on PK 786.

precisely...one would rather then take EK-KU-GF-EY and transit for 2 hrs in BAH/DXB/KWI/AUH than transit at KHI airport or sit in the plane on the tarmac waiting for pax to board from KHI.

Generally flying through Pakistan before going to your international destination adds a lot of travel time.

For example, flying YYZ-ISB/LHE-KHI is as long as flying YYZ-LHR-DXB-KHI in total travel time even though YYZ-ISB/LHE-KHI is only 1 stop.

Cheers

Thanks for clearing that up guys.

PK need to have a major restructuring of their timetable and routes.

More non-stop routes...and more frequencies. Take for example FRA more flights would be a better option, instead of upgrading the equipment.
