Caterer for PIA in Islamabad?

Usalamulkium,

I was just wondering does anybody know which company caters for PIA in Islamabad and where about their warehouse is in Islamabad were they pack the goods for PIA?

PIA have their own catering in ISB which is located on the way to the airport.

I'm more curious as to who does the catering for BA as their First and Club World meals would have to be top notch and I don't think they have their own catering facility there. Its possible they use the PC pindi to supply their meals and another possibility is that they carry the meals in from LHR and keep them frozen till the time of serving.

Does anyone know if Gate Gourmet is in ISB?

Moin, talking about Gate Gourmet bakery? Yes, it is there in Islamabad in F-8.

A few destinations of BA like lagos and Islamabad, have return flight meals already stored from heathrow. yes its sad that no body in islamabad can meet their quality for food products

I don't think this is the same Gate Gourmet we're talking about that provides meals to QR, ED etc. That Isb bakery and catering company are probably two entirely different entities.

I would be surprised if BA is serving 12-18 hour old entree's in First.

Actually I have also seen PIA do that personally. A few years ago on my flight back from Riyadh to Islamabad on a 747 I saw the crew taking out frozen food packages and puttng them in the ovens to warm them up. I think I asked about it also and the reply was that they bring it with them for the return flight.
