You'd think they'd at least make that effort of posting a real 772LR photo in the ad, instead of this 772ER
Oh well, the ad looks nice otherwise.

The add mentions "Tuesday, Friday and Sunday" as days of ops. for this flight. Have they changed the Thursday fequency of KHI-YYZ to Sunday?
Since as long as I can remember the flights hae been (KHI-LHE-MAN-YYZ) on Tuesdays, (KHI-ISB-MAN-YYZ) on Fridays and recently they started (KHI-MAN-YYZ) on Thursdays.
If so, thats great! I was really hoping for a weekend flight so I can got spotting once in a while!!

Well, I just checked PIA's schedule on their website and it does specify the KHI-YYZ flight for this Sunday, Mar. 5th.
I guess they have changed the flight to Sundays.
I will definitely try to go and catch the LR this Sunday and get some pics (I assume that it will be operated?). Hopefully the weather will co-operate and it won't be (-20 C)!!!

Totally agreed with you on this, PIA surely lacks behind in Marketing dept. Take an example of Singapore Airlines, they wrote something very attractive on their new A380 which surely attracts customers, "First to Fly A380", I dont know what happened to PIA they should have given some unique words/design to a/c so the whole world might know that WE ARE ALSO THE FIRST ONE TO FLY B777LR.CoyBoy wrote:if another airline had been the first operator of this aircraft brining in a new era into aviation and creating history, they would have doen amazing stuff to promote it

True, when it comes to advertising GLOBALLY, even on their website it is well below standards..if EK got this aircraft we would have seen many details and information about it (just take a look at the A345 section they have you will see).CoyBoy wrote:Yes thats a pathetic excuse, if another airline had been the first operator of this aircraft brining in a new era into aviation and creating history, they would have doen amazing stuff to promote it.
Apparently, when PK started serving Houston the marketing was so crap that even today some people still dont even know PIA has started serving Houston

Yeah absolutely. When i was in Karachi, i knew alot of people who are going to YYZ this summer and they were booked to go on EY. I told them about the new non-stop services and about 6 of them changed their flights to PIA, i was actually marketing for PIA! Hahaha!
I mean in KHI Emirates is being advertised on billboards, and i could not see PIA being advertised anywhere. This was their golden chance to promote the airline on a global level with the induction of the new 777LR. They did not even market it in their own country, and many people did even know that the airline had ordered this airliner. They should have plastered nonstopservices and this new aircraft all over Pakistan!

I suspect that most of the YYZ traffic originates in Canada and travels to PAK and vice-versa. Therefore, they are probably heavily marketing the new service in NA ethnic publications such as Pakistan Link.smarties wrote: I mean in KHI Emirates is being advertised on billboards, and i could not see PIA being advertised anywhere. Look simply at this: Singapore created a special website for the A380PK777 wrote:True, when it comes to advertising GLOBALLY, even on their website it is well below standards..if EK got this aircraft we would have seen many details and information about it (just take a look at the A345 section they have you will see).CoyBoy wrote:Yes thats a pathetic excuse, if another airline had been the first operator of this aircraft brining in a new era into aviation and creating history, they would have doen amazing stuff to promote it.
