KARACHI, February 15, 2006
PIA Board of Directors in its 293rd Meeting, held here today reviewed the progress on the construction of Cargo Complex, Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, scheduled to be completed by 30th June 2006. The Complex will have the capacity to handle more than 60,000 tons of international & domestic cargo per annum. The Project of Cargo Complex is one of the projects pursued by the present Management for meeting customer expectations for convenience, care and competitiveness.
The meeting chaired by Chairman PIA, Mr. Tariq Kirmani, was attended by Air Marshal (Retd) Pervez Akhtar Nawaz, Director General, CAA, Maj. Gen. (Retd) Muhammad Ashraf Chaudhry, Additional Secretary Ministry of Defence, Mr. Asad Ali Khan and Syed Mohammad Fazal Agha.
