PIA delayed at JFK?
I know PIA has Saturday/Sunday flights from JFK, with the huge snowstorm just hit the NYC area I was wondering if there were significant delays or cancellations of these flights?

Usalamulkium,
I was surfing the John Kennedy International Airport, New York website yesterday and yes PK717 from route Islamabad-Manchester-New York aircraft 777 was not delayed but instead diverted to land at Chicago O Hare International Airport instead of John Kennedy International Airport, New York

Dear Members,Usalamulkium,

Sunday night, a Turkish Airlines A343 operating IST-IAD, but diverted to JFK due to bad weather, slid off the runway.
Runway situation on Sunday night was:
Runway 31L was closed until Monday because of the Turkish incident.
Runway 4R had a long line of planes to land.
Priority was given to flights arriving at JFK, which landed at 4R. After all the arrivals were cleared, runway 4 was open to takeoffs as well.
There was a heavy backlog for departures, as they had to wait for all the flights to land at 4R, before it was opened for takeoffs and JFK had a rather lengthy ground lock. As a result, most flights leaving JFK on Sunday evening were severly delayed. Flights running low on fuel were diverted to other airports.
