A friend of mine arrived last week from YYZ on Etihad via BRU and AUH. The a/c from YYZ to AUH was apparently an A343 as she said there were 2 seats by the window and 4 in the center. At YYZ at the time of boarding, they were taken on a 20 min bus ride from the check in terminal to the terminal where the a/c was parked.
She wasn't very impressed by the airline and told me that the return fare cost her around CDN $1480 including tax, which is around $300. She said PIA was $100 cheaper but they weren't confirming her return seat back to YYZ, hence she was left with EY.
She plans to come again around Oct and wanted me to ask here if this fare of $1100 plus $300 tax is the best low season fare available? She told me the high season fare costs around $2200 with or w/o tax I'm not sure.
Any tips of getting the best fares and travel agents would be most appreciated.

First of all, if she paid $ 1480 for her EY tkt that means the agent that sold her this tkt made a profit of CDN $ 10.00She wasn't very impressed by the airline and told me that the return fare cost her around CDN $1480 including tax
Wrong...PIA is $ 120 more expensive than EY to KHI !!!She said PIA was $100 cheaper but they weren't confirming her return seat back to YYZ, hence she was left with EY.
As far as current off season pricing goes, Gulf Air is the cheapest to KHI costing with all taxes inclusive $1415.00 ...put in $ 30-40 for the agent's mark up and the fare would be $ 1450-60ish. Re: Etihad from YYZ to KHI
As previously stated, I find PIA more expensive than EY ex Toronto. The plane was an A330 - I don't think EY flies A340s.Moin wrote:A friend of mine arrived last week from YYZ on Etihad via BRU and AUH. I think $1100 plus tax is a pretty good fare

Cheers
