Female Cabin Crew for PIA

Post by Aftab PK786 »

Usalamulkium,

Recently in The Nation a UK newspaper, there was an advertisement for female cabin crew to work for Pakistan International Airlines. They were looking for young Pakistani girls at the age of 20 and plus to be a stewardess after getting full training at their Karachi centre.

Sorry I have not got a scanner in order to post the article up.

Contrary to your post pk757, I cannot, in a million sundays believed that any British born Pakistani girl would be so desperate to work in PIA as an AH !!!!!

Peanuts for wages and lack of organisational structure hardly make an appealing employer ???

Good God Che........is that what you think British Pakistanis do ??
I think you need to get out more mate.

UK Pakistanis are very hardworking and have excelled in many fields including medicine, accountancy, law, airline captains and increasingly cabin crew.

And if one is making an honest living from a factory, there is no harm in that. Better than doing 420 everywhere.

That comment was said tongue in cheek...However, there is a perception, I am not sure how valid it is that the second/third generation Pakistanis in Britain have not faired as well both educationally and economically as their Indian or even Afro-Caribbean counterparts....Correct me if I am wrong...

Yes there is no harm in doing factory job but there is harm in working for PIA which is much better than doing, that is an honest living as well......
