Great find!!

That's Evergreen International's Boeing 747-282B (registration N559EV). Ex-AP-AYW of PIA.

FAA's air-worthiness certificate for N559EV expired in October 2005.

So much for the hue and cry made by certain forum members, that AYW should have stayed and served with PIA for god knows how long.

The plane has been scrapped, as you can see the engines have been removed.

It was probably going to cost a ton to refurbish, and was probably not worth it.

However I am sure Evergreen would be able to salvage some spares for its exsisting fleet of 747-200Fs from AYW.

The other green tail looks like the old Saudia tail. What surprises me that the picture shows A320/19/18s in NWA new livery out in the desert. I hope they're there just as storage and not as scrap.

Talking about Combis? They will remain in the fleet by the end of 2008.

Apparently 2010, but i doubt it. Its when the B773ER takes over some routes from the B743

I think 743s will only fly to jed,del and bom apart from domestic routes after 2010.
