You can see a crude version of their website at http://www.pearlair.com.pk - albeit most of the links don't work. I'm not sure if this is their official website or not. If it is - its horrible.
www.pearlair.com is simply parked.

My contact at SITA (Corporate - not Pakistan) says an aplication query has been received for connectivity for a new airline from Karachi to be linked in the US with Saber (I think - cannot be 100% sure).
Connectivity, etc. all has to be up and running by 15th of Jan. Operational testing of their information systems would presumably be done immediately.
Give or take, the airline *might* (emphasis supplied) start operations end of Q1:2006.

Well many more airlines are opening e.g Deewan airlines etc.In future, I believe with seasonal passengers and Pakistani airlines totally dependant on routes where Pakistanis live, the airlines are reaching a 'saturation level' with less passengers most of the year and hell of airlines. The sleepy CAA should think of its own instead of following blindly the Indian aviation policy whose passengers and tourism level are far more higher than Pakistan

Why shouldn't CAA grant licences to airlines which it thinks will do good?
I think the more competition in Pakistan, the more E4,NL and PK will have to get their act together. Although some carriers may have to exit, increasing unemployment but thats what happens in a free market.
CAA is thinking in the interest of the public not the airlines.
