LAHORE - Airport Security Force (ASF) officials held six passengers allegedly involved in creating law and order situation at Allama Iqbal International Airport here on Thursday. Later the accused were handed over to the local police who registered a case against them on the same charges. Director Airport has sent the report of the incident to DG Civil Aviation Authority for further inquiry.

Six passengers including Muhammad Ali, Azhar, Muhammad Arshad, Irfan Malik, Khan Akbar and Usman were at the airport with many other passengers to fly for Karachi by PIA flight Pk-405 at 4:45 am. But, as per ASF and PIA Spokesmen, the flight could not depart at the scheduled time due to some operational reasons. Resultantly, the angry passengers staged protest against the national flag carrier.

“We tried to disperse the passengers but they resisted and ultimately we had to arrest and hand them over to local police," an ASF official claimed. The other passengers were entertained and taken care by the PIA officials at the airport and were later adjusted on PK-303 for Karachi, officials added.
