KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Tariq Kirmani on Thursday said PIA's ongoing journey for excellence must continue and the current momentum kept going for achieving further improvements in all areas of services quality.
He stated this while appreciating hard work of PIA employees on being formally awarded the IATA Operational Safety Registration (IOSA). PIA's logo has been posted at IATA's IOSA registry website serving as an effective certification of excellence in operational safety standards.
The national carrier now meets the pre-requisite condition for code sharing opportunities with other world-class airlines and among the elite group of fifty airlines, which have so far achieved this recognition.

I checked the website and I didn't see any "distinctive" mention of PIA. If anything, I think the news report is making reference that PIA is now part of the already very large list of airlines on the list of IOSA operators. Here is the link to the list. When you click on PIA (just like any other airline), you'll see the PIA logo.
