March 25, 2025 - A meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Privatisation (CCoP) held in Islamabad today approved a fast-tracked plan for the privatisation of Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (PIACL) including the divestment of 51-100 percent share capital together with management control.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar who emphasized government’s commitment to PIACL’s privatisation to unlock airline's full potential and reduce financial burden on the national exchequer.
