It has been 3-4 years after corona that Emirates has still not restored its 5 daily flights to Karachi. I wonder whats the reason given that its open sky policy between the two cities.
People might argue that Emirates partnership with flydubai has led to this that Emirates is now only serving with 3 daily flights. However, flydubai operated 4 daily weeks even before corona. To this day, flydubai still operates 4 daily flights to Karachi.
Is the market demand not strong enough for Emirates to now maintain 5 daily flights?
Emirates is now serving its other destinations with pre corona frequencies. But, Karachi did not see the pre corona frequencies. Is Karachi Dubai sector, which was one of the busiest sectors for Emirates, has lost most of its demand and popularity?
Note that, pre corona times Emirates even operated 7 daily flights to Karachi for four times a week. Why is Emirates slowly slowly reducing Karachi flights ?

I would argue - its the fares in addition to flydubai factor.
Only once in Corona i found Emirates to be the cheapest option. Usually for any European destination, Emirates is very often simpley 100-200€ more expensive than QR/TK and often EY. Why would i pay 200€ more per person when i get the same level of service from QR and Doha is arguably better transit hub than Dubai anyhow.
Only plus in flying Emirates is guaranteed widebody at all sectors. But that is often a small consideration an average traveler does not care about.

This means that the demand has indeed shrinked. I dont think that Karachi will now be seeing 5 daily Emirates in the future.
There were times when at 12-2 pm at KHI when two Emirates aircraft could be seen parked side to side.

Lot has to do with Pakistan economic activities, good drives growth. Also, competition has entered in the market you have Pegasus, Batik Air, Flyadeal, and Flynas. We're price sensitive market. Like we discussed in every forum here, airlines rather send their widebodies elsewhere than Pakistan. Emirates announced a cargo facility in Karachi let's how that plays out. Though until our home isn't fixed don't expect the outside World placing big bets on us.
