European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) team arrived in Pakistan and visited Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) headquarters in Karachi.
EASA team received briefing on various departments of Pakistan CAA including airworthiness, licensing and flight safety.
On November 6, EASA team will visit PIA facilities to conduct sample audit.
EASA team will also visit cargo complex at Karachi Airport.
Pakistan visit audit report prepared by EASA team will be presented at EASA safety meeting in November.
EASA safety meeting in November is expected to make decision on Pakistani airlines' commercial passenger and cargo flights between European Union (EU) member states and Pakistan suspended since July 2020.
