Agreed, not a lot of room for expansion in the ME market. EU/UK remains banned. US and Australia won't happen untill EU is restored. Although there's a bit of room for expansion in Far East markets like Japan & Singapore. Maybe Africa too, but I am not sure if PIA needs 777s for that.

I think PIA should give all it's 10 LHR slots to TK and operate 10 flights under PK-TK codeshare in return untill the ban is restored because TK on it's own won't codeshare with PIA without gaining anything out of it. Or switch from IST to SAW and codeshare with Pegasus.

BLT is a gone case whereas BLA, BLU, BLV and BLW are still airworthy, probably all are grounded due to lack of engines. CEO PIA mentioned in the Facebook live session that it's challenging to procure GE-90 engines right now due to high demand in the market. No wonder PIA hasn't been able to acquire engines for 777s yet.

On a separate note, the a320 fleet looks like it's getting back in shape, I think PIA should use them for some Medium Haul route like Malaysia, Turkey, Ethiopia etc... with a slightly lesser number of seats. I recently flew Saudia's younger a320 from Dammam to Jeddah which had a 12C/132Y configuration, the legroom was generous and good enough for medium haul flights. With no alternate aircraft type available for 777s, PIA should look at optimising its a320s in a better way.
