
Hajj pilgrims disembarking PIA Boeing 777 (AP-BGJ) Karachi to Jeddah flight PK839 after emergency landing in Riyadh
On May 31, PIA Boeing 777-200ER aircraft registration AP-BGJ Karachi to Jeddah flight PK839 made an emergency landing in Riyadh after high temperature warning in aircraft cargo hold received by cockpit crew during the flight. Passengers disembarked the aircraft and were shifted to lounge at Riyadh Airport.
The warning was declared false after completion of aircraft inspection at Riyadh Airport and it was cleared to resume flight to Jeddah.
On May 31, PIA Boeing 777-200ER aircraft registration AP-BGJ departed from Karachi Airport at 10:22 PM (local time) as flight PK839 to Jeddah and landed safely on Runway 33L of Riyadh Airport at 11:15 PM (local time).

After completion of inspections, the aircraft left Riyadh at 4:22 AM to resume flight PK839 to Jeddah where it arrived at 5:49 AM. The Boeing 777 stayed in Riyadh for 5 hours & 7 minutes.
