Aircraft Bringing Home Pakistani Students from Bishkek

On May 18, around 140 Pakistani students arrived in Lahore at 11:04 PM aboard Aero Nomad Airbus A320 (aircraft registration EX-32008) commercial flight KA571 from Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) where they faced mob violence. The students were able to buy tickets and reach airport to travel on this flight.

Violent mobs in Bishkek attacked hostels and injured foreign students particularly from Pakistan, India and Bangladesh after clash between Egyptian/Arab students and some local students of Kyrgyzstan who had harassed Egyptian female students.

On May 18, Pakistani students including those injured in mob attacks on foreign students in Bishkek arrived in Lahore aboard Aero Nomad Airbus A320 flight KA571 from Bishkek. The flight carried a total of 180 passengers including 140 Pakistani students.


Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi was present at Lahore Airport to receive students.

Pakistan Air Force (PAF) to send its Airbus A319 (aircraft serial A-1102) to evacuate Pakistani students who want to leave Bishkek. The A319 will be able to accommodate 130 students.

Around 500 Pakistani students also expected to arrive in Pakistan from Bishkek through various commercial flights.

On May 19, around 500 Pakistani students expected to leave Bishkek to return to Pakistan by following three Aero Nomad Airbus A320 flights:

Aero Nomad flight KA6571 from Bishkek scheduled to arrive in Lahore at 7:00 PM on May 19.
Aero Nomad flight KA4575 from Bishkek scheduled to arrive in Islamabad at 7:45 PM on May 19.
Aero Nomad flight KA4571 from Bishkek scheduled to arrive in Lahore at 2:05 AM on May 20.

On May 20, a number of Pakistani students arrived in Islamabad at 4:45 AM aboard Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Airbus A319 (aircraft serial A-1102) flight PAAF990 from Bishkek.

Federal Minister for Kashmir affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Amir Muqam was present at Islamabad Airport to receive students.









Later, PAF Airbus A319 (aircraft serial A-1102) left Islamabad Airport at 5:45 AM and arrived at PAF Base Nur Khan, Chaklala, Rawalpindi, at 6:00 AM. Islamabad to Rawalpindi flight PAAF990 completed in 15 minutes. Maximum altitude attained by the aircraft 6,300 feet.
