Presently, Air Sial has a fleet of 5 Airbus A320 narrow-body aircraft and airline's current international destinations include Jeddah, Dammam and Medina in Saudi Arabia and Muscat in Oman.

Air Sial has also indicated plan to induct Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft to enhance and expand its international flight operations.

UAE is not on the list. I think it has to do with UAE carriers being denied more capacities in Pakistan. If the capacities are granted, then AirSial would also be granted permission to operate there as well.

Pakistan sought UAE/Abu Dhabi permission for a privately-owned Pakistani airline (probably AirSial) in exchange for granting permission to Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, according to news reports.

AirSial had revealed plan to start flights for UAE (Abu Dhabi/Dubai) in year 2022.

Well this is grey area, cannot say this approach is totally wrong. All countries across the globe have protectionism when it comes to commercial aviation. If UAE is not letting us fly there more often, why should we?

agree but protectionism works in a country where aviation is thriving and flourising.. India , Turkey are bright examples.. in those countries there are lots of domestic and international flights plus lots of international airlines operating in those countries.. there its a win-win for passengers, government, local airlines and foreign airlines!! In Pakistan there is miniature domestic sector, fleet of almost 40 for all airlines, 80 or 90% country cut off from airplane connectively, distant airports, expensive tickets and hardly any direct international connections!! so it gives no *right* to Pakistan to try to twist arm of UAE for its own mistakes..

And how do you propose that the domestic industry which you complain about will grow if we keep allowing foreign LCCs and legacies to pour into the country? You want a thriving and flourishing aviation industry whilst competing against established giants with an unfair competitive advantage and several flights a day out of Pak...can't have both
