Amristar, Delhi, Mumbai Airports for Pakistani passengers
As we all know Kashmir cause and all the political stuff with India has now faded away for good and India is emerging super power next door... then from aviation perspective, why not Pakistani passengers be allowed to have feeder planes or buses to use Amritser, Delhi and Mumbai airport and then travel around the world.. Right now , International Pakistani passengers have to goto Middle East which is 2000 Km journey to take a connecting flight effectively.... We shud not forget Pakistan is heavily dependent on India for food, pharmacy and other key products... its possible India wud be happy to accept this offer as it will generate a substantial revenue for them and Pakistani passengers wud be relieved also.

Leaving aside the said proposal, why not propose the resumption of air services between Pakistan and India? These services used to operate in the past between Lahore-Delhi and Karachi-Mumbai. I don’t remember if there were any other stations connected in India.Tuti Fruiti wrote: Mon May 06, 2024 10:37 am As we all know Kashmir cause and all the political stuff with India has now faded away for good and India is emerging super power next door... then from aviation perspective, why not Pakistani passengers be allowed to have feeder planes or buses to use Amritser, Delhi and Mumbai airport and then travel around the world.. By the way, I would prefer that our airlines fly directly to specific stations across the globe rather than relying on neighboring countries, including the Middle East, for transit.

agree...ideally people shud fly direct from Pakistan to their destination !! but looking at state of affairs, the situation is hopeless for Pakistan aviation for direct flights..raihans wrote: Tue May 07, 2024 11:00 amLeaving aside the said proposal, why not propose the resumption of air services between Pakistan and India? In the past, Indian nationals from some cities in Gulf states traveled to/from India on PIA flights via Karachi.
Year 2004 PIA advertisement promoting airline's 12 weekly flights to India.
5 weekly flights from Karachi to Mumbai
4 weekly flights from Lahore to Delhi
3 weekly flights from Karachi to Delhi
