Karachi Airport Runway Rubber Deposit to be Removed

From April 4 to May 3

Karachi Airport Runway 07R/25L will not be available due to runway rubber deposit removal work. Monday to Friday except Saturday, Sunday/Holiday as per following schedule:

Monday 0900 hours to 1100 hours
Tuesday 0800 hours to 1230 hours
Wednesday 0900 hours to 1230 hours
Thursday 0730 hours to 1000 hours
Friday 0900 hours to 1130 hours

During closure of Runway 07R/25L aircraft for Pavement Classification Number (PCN) 54 and below will be accommodated on Runway 07L/25R.

Aircraft tires rubber deposit is removed from runway for the safety of flight operations especially in rainy weather slippery runway surface conditions.

Karachi receives Monsoon season rains from late June to mid-September.

Karachi Airport Runway 07R/25L unavailable due to runway rubber deposit work on daily basis as per following schedule:

Monday 0900 hours to 1100 hours (2 hours)
Tuesday 0800 hours to 1230 hours (4 hours & 30 minutes)
Wednesday 0900 hours to 1230 hours (3 hours & 30 minutes)
Thursday 0730 hours to 1000 hours (2 hours & 30 minutes)
Friday 0900 hours to 1130 hours (2 hours & 30 minutes)
Saturday 0900 hours to 1130 hours (2 hours & 30 minutes)
Sunday 0900 hours to 1130 (2 hours & 30 minutes)

During closure of Runway 07R/25L aircraft with required Pavement Classification Number PCN 54/R/C/X/U and below will be accommodated on Runway 07L/25R of Karachi Airport.
