PIA Airbus A320 Peshawar to Dubai Flight PK283 Experiences Inertial Navigation System (INS) Failure

On March 9, PIA Airbus A320 registration AP-BLS Peshawar to Dubai Flight PK283 diverted to Karachi after experiencing failure of all three Inertial Navigation Systems (INS).

The aircraft departed from Peshawar at 10:37 AM as flight PK283 to Dubai and landed safely on Runway 07R of Karachi Airport at 1:06 PM i.e. 2 hours & 29 minutes after takeoff from Peshawar..

Later, the aircraft left Karachi at 2:33 PM as flight PIA283D to Peshawar where it arrived at 4:01 PM.

The aircraft was able to leave Peshawar at 6:34 PM to complete flight PK183 to Dubai.

On March 8, the same PIA Airbus A320 aircraft registration AP-BLS as Doha to Islamabad flight PK288 returned to Doha for some reason. The aircraft departed from Doha at 2:50 PM and landed safely in Doha at 3:43 PM i.e. 53 minutes after takeoff.

The aircraft after a stay of 1 hour & 50 minutes left Doha at 5:33 PM to complete flight PK288 to Islamabad.
