A VVIP aircraft of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) was damaged by stray bullet(s) on February 24 the day on which kite flying festival Basant was celebrated. A number of bullets were also found on air base runway and taxiways the day on which unannounced Basant was celebrated in Rawalpindi.

Earlier, two transport aircraft were damaged by stray bullets on separate days on January 18 and January 23 this year.
